Rodney had been saving up money since his birthday and today finally had enough money to buy a bike. He was so excited and is looking forward to buying a child's seat to put on the back so he and Caleb can start taking morning rides together.

Tilapia was on sale at the grocery store this week, so I bought 4 nice fillets and made some parmesan crusted tilapia for dinner. Rodney got some fresh asparagus and drizzled olive oil and fresh garlic on top. Caleb enjoyed watching it all cook through the oven window. It was a delicious, healthy meal!

Hannah sat up all by herself today! It didn't last long before she would start falling over, but she did it quite a few times! So proud of my little girl!

It was getting hard to find the coupons I needed in the little plastic file folder I had, so I found an unused photo album I had and have converted it to my new coupon binder. I organized all the coupons by category and in order of the aisles at the grocery store. Today's shopping trip went much faster thanks to this!

I hated how we could never seem to find a matching lid for our plastic storage containers, so today I completely cleaned out the cupboard, got rid of any that didn't have matching lids and put the containers and their matching lids together. Much easier to find things now!

Sometimes I wonder why we buy toys for our kids when they are just as happy with the box. :) Caleb has refused to let me throw this one away. It's been a train, a car, an airplane, and a rocket. Love to see his imagination blooming.

Caleb's new favorite show is Blue's Clues. He sings and dances along with the show and sits on top of one of the couch cushions, which he calls his thinking chair, with his handy-dandy notebook, ready to draw the clues inside. Adorable!

Hannah loves anything she can hold onto that makes noise. Her favorite toy is a giraffe that has rings and rattles for arms, named Mr. Jangles. She'll hold onto him and excitedly shake him around so he makes lots of noise.

Rodney dropped my mom and John off at my grandma's house so the airport shuttle could pick them all up. He told Caleb that just the two of them would go somewhere together when he got back. Caleb waited patiently by the front door for his return, but got too tired and ended up falling asleep on the front door mat!

We got Chinese food from Panda Express and Caleb insisted on eating his with chopsticks, just like mommy. He did surprisingly well!

We have a hummingbird nest on our front porch with two tiny eggs inside! Mama bird is quite diligent sitting in the nest all day long, keeping them warm during this chilly weather. She only leaves for short periods of time to go get food. It's been fun to watch her from our front window. Looking forward to seeing the baby birds soon!

My mom and John arrived early this morning. They are staying with us a few days on either end of their trip to Australia. She soaked up time with her grandbabies, getting in some good snuggles.

Rodney's mom has been coming over once a week to help me out. She has been so wonderful with holding babies, entertaining Caleb, helping with shopping trips, and doing chores around the house. It's a win-win for both of us. I get so much more done around the house and she gets quality time with her grandkids!

We have completely cut soda out of our diet. We found we were getting much more munchy when we were drinking it. Instead I have been making up some calorie-free juices with powdered mixes from Target. I find it's easier to get my allotted water intake when it has some flavoring to it.

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and went to Orange Empire Railway Museum to ride some trains. We were able to ride on a diesel engine train and two trolleys. Caleb just loves the trains. We went ahead and bought an annual membership so we can come as often as we like!

I started to feel the beginnings of a cold coming on and was extremely tired. Rodney watched the kids so I could nap for a couple hours. He got both of the babies to sleep and he and Caleb built towers with blocks. He was even nice enough to take my picture of the day for me! Great hubby!

Today the twins had their 6 month check up. They are both weighing in at 14 lbs. 13 oz. and Joshua is 2 inches longer than Hannah at 27.5 inches! They both got a clean bill of health and a thumbs up from the doctor and didn't have to get any shots this time!

I managed to catch this after Joshua rolled over and put his arm over Hannah in the process. I just love seeing them together, especially when they interact. I hope they will always have a special bond.

I've started taking surveys online and have found one particular site that I love! For every survey I complete, I get a $3 check in the mail! Not a lot of money, but still fun to get checks in the mail! I've also received a product to test out too! Fun!

I made Caleb a little playhouse out of the box that his kitchen came in. I cut out a few windows and a door. He had so much fun coming in and out of the box and bringing all his favorite toys inside. Who needs expensive toys when they are just as happy playing in the box?

Last night was Caleb's first night in a big boy bed! He did so great! He stayed in his bed all night and even waited for me to come get him up in the morning. I'm so proud of my little boy. He's growing up so fast!

The babies' nursery is all set up! We put together the crib that Sarah gave us and moved in Caleb's crib from his room (meaning he is now in a big boy bed!). I just love the crib bedding I got on Ebay. Tonight will be their first night in their new room and we'll have our room back to ourselves. Here's hoping it goes well!

As of today Rodney is down 28 lbs. and I am down 26 lbs.! Needless to say our clothes are getting baggy! We went down to the Elsinore Outlets to buy a few new ones to tide us over as we continue to lose more weight. We got some awesome deals at the VF outlet thanks to Rodney's company discount!

Hannah has been thoroughly enjoying jumping in the jumperoo. Today she jumped so much that she wore herself out! I let her snooze in it for a while until she woke up and started jumping again! So glad there are things she can entertain herself with.

I had to document just how crazy it looks when we go grocery shopping. We have heads turning all the time. I have to search for a cart with a car in the front to make it work. Caleb sits in the car and plays, and I put one baby in their car seat in the basket and one in the child seat up top. If I go by myself, it has to be a small trip and I put the groceries in a basket I carry over my arm. Otherwise I have to have help from someone else to push a separate cart.

Caleb is a huge Toy Story fan. We've seen all three movies more times than I can count. His favorite toy is his "little Buzz". He takes him everywhere and refuses to go to bed without him. During the day he zooms him around the house and shouts, "To infinity and beyond!".

Caleb is such an affectionate child. He likes to give lots of hugs and kisses...even to the strangest things. He once hugged the pizza box after we had some delivered and asks to kiss the eggs before I crack them open every morning. Today he insisted on kissing his apple before I cut it for him. Sweet boy!

One of my least favorite chores is washing the baby bottles. They go through 8 bottles a day (though it used to be much more), so it feels like I am always washing them. The bottles have so many parts, too. I will be glad when these two are eating more solid food so I don't have to wash as many bottles!

We were going to go to Harrison Park this afternoon, but as we drove past it was super crowded. I texted Jodi and asked if we could use the little playground in her housing complex. We ended up having the place to ourselves! Caleb was fearless, climbing to the top and sliding down the biggest slide. So nice to have a private park available to us!

We went out to dinner at Don Jose's tonight. Their chips and salsa are our favorites. Caleb even had his own bowl of salsa to enjoy. Unfortunately we all filled up on the chips and when our fajitas came we didn't eat much. Thank goodness the leftovers still tasted good!

Caleb loves entertaining his siblings. He talks to them and tries to get them to laugh. I thought it was so sweet when he was rocking Hannah in the swing and she just lit up watching him and laughed and squealed with glee. He is such a good big brother.

Caleb's naps have been sporadic lately. Some days he'll take them, some he won't. Today he asked for a pillow and a blanket and I assumed he was just going to play with them. Next thing I know he is fast asleep on the couch. He looked so cute and comfy I just let him snooze on the couch for a couple hours.
