Another great day of saving money with coupons and sales! Rodney's mom came over today to help out and we took the kids for a walk down to Target. I had planned out my shopping trip ahead of time and gathered all the coupons I would need. I ended up getting all the things in the picture for only $37! Just the diapers alone would have cost me $60. The checker actually told me she had never seen someone save so much money. :)

Today was the final weigh in for the 3 month weight loss challenge that I took along with Rodney's sisters November 1st. As of the weigh in this morning I only lost 20 pounds. I know I should be proud of myself, but I know I could have pushed myself harder and done a whole lot better. I am setting a new goal of at least another 20 pounds by our anniversary.

Joshua and Hannah have really started interacting with each other. I'll put them next to each other on the floor and they'll roll towards each other and hold hands and smile and coo. I love seeing the beginnings of their special twin connection.

I've been getting really good at couponing lately, finding ways to combine sales and coupons to get the best deals. Today was my best savings at the grocery store yet with a savings of $135! Included in that shopping trip were 4 tubes of toothpaste and 2 toothbrushes, completely free! It feels so good to know that I'm doing my part in making the most of our family's money.

Today was Rodney's 33rd birthday. I had planned out a day of fun things for us to do, most of which were a surprise for him. We dropped the kids off with Rodney's parents so we could have the day for just the two of us. First we went to the movies to see True Grit. I'm not a huge fan of westerns, but I actually really enjoyed the movie. Next we went bowling and played a few games. Rodney did pretty well with a high score of 160. I was pretty pathetic with gutter ball after gutter ball. I think my highest score was 88. Lastly I surprised him with dinner at the Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park. The show was a lot of fun with action, comedy, and acrobatics and the food was really good too! Something I'd definitely do again! All in all it was a wonderful time and I think Rodney really enjoyed his special day.

I discovered that the Crayola website has free printable coloring pages. I printed off a few for Caleb and brought out my big bucket of crayons. He had a blast dumping all the crayons on the floor and trying out all of the pretty colors. I saved one of his pages and sent it off in the mail as a little present for my mom.

Joshua is definitely a tummy sleeper. He can fall asleep on his back, but doesn't stay asleep for long. I love how he always has his bottom up in the air and his feet crossed when he's sleeping on his tummy. Just another way he is like his big brother!

It was another beautiful day outside (though still too warm for January, in my opinion). After the babies had their afternoon bottles, I put them in their bouncy seats and we all went outside to enjoy some fresh air. My grandma ended up stopping by and we sat on the front porch and talked while Caleb played. He played on his slide, drew with chalk, crunched in the leaves on the lawn, and painted the porch with water.

Caleb is becoming such a good big brother. He will entertain the babies for me by talking to them and trying to make them smile and laugh. Tonight he insisted on covering Joshua in a blanket on the floor and then decided he wanted to be under the blanket too. I just love seeing them together and hope they will grow to be great friends.

We left Caleb with Aunt Susan tonight and went out to dinner at Roadhouse to celebrate Joy's 40th birthday. I wish this picture wasn't so blurry, but I could only find my cell phone in the moment to take the picture. The servers came out to sing "Happy Birthday" to her and put a toilet seat cover crown on her head and I couldn't resist capturing it!

We drove to Camarillo today to go to the outlets. The original purpose of our trip was to get Rodney work shoes, but he couldn't find any he liked. We ended up going into the Carter's there (my favorite children's clothing) and got Caleb some new shirts and pants. I realized today that it was time to move him up a size when the 18 month pants he was wearing looked like he was ready for a flood. He's slowly but surely catching up size wise to others his age.

It was such a beautiful day today that we wanted to get the family out of the house. We took Caleb down to Harrison park to let him play on the playground. Within minutes of our arrival Caleb had made a new little friend. He kept calling him "Man". :) And when he couldn't find him he'd ask me, "Where Man is?". We were amazed at how brave and adventurous Caleb has become on the playground. He was sliding down the tallest slide with no fear and then climbing back up the way he came down!

My dad came over today to entertain Caleb so I could get a little house cleaning done. As soon as he came in the house, Caleb yelled, "Ampaw! Read Bad Bunny!". The Very Bad Bunny is Caleb's favorite book right now. The also played with the play kitchen and Caleb's favorite stuffed monkey. So grateful for his help and love seeing them together.

I've been using our Wii Fit almost every day since we first got it after Christmas. I've been doing about 30 - 60 minutes a day of exercise. My favorite so far is the bicycling. I also really like the boxing, hula hooping, and step aerobics. It's making me want to exercise because it makes it more like a game. I can already feel and see the difference!

Today Rodney surprised me with tickets to go see Wicked! I am so excited!! I've been wanting to see this since it first opened. Can't wait to go and introduce my husband to live theater. Hoping this will make him want to go see more shows in the future!

Caleb just loves playing with the play kitchen and food we got him for Christmas. Today I pulled up a chair and he made me some delicious food. Today's special was pan-fried orange topped with salt, pepper, ketchup and mustard. Yummy! :)

Caleb likes to help me do the dishes. He'll pull up a dining room chair to the sink to stand on and I'll give him a cup or bowl to fill up with water and play with. He's such a good helper! :)

Today I gave the twins sweet potatoes for the first time. Joshua wasn't all that excited about them, but I think it was too close to his normal eating time and it just wasn't what he wanted at the time. Hannah loved them, though!

Caleb woke up this morning with a stomach bug. Poor little guy was throwing up most of the day. All in all he was in pretty good spirits most of the day and was still up to playing. My awesome friend, Karen, brought us some Pedialyte since I wasn't able to go get any. So great to have friends who are willing to help you when you really need it!

I finally got around to taking down the Christmas tree and putting away all the decorations. I went through all the decorations and threw away a lot and have some I'm going to take to Goodwill. I managed to get the decorations down from 5 boxes full to 3!

Sarah brought her kids over today to help me out a bit with the babies and to go with me to help with a grocery shopping trip. Caleb and Jordynn had a lot of fun playing together, though Caleb is SO bad about sharing toys. He is always good about sharing food, though. He poured his bag of chips on the floor so he and Jordynn could enjoy them together. (Don't worry, the floor was freshly cleaned!)

I just love Hannah's little face. Her chubby cheeks, great big eyes, and little mouth. I am enjoying finally having a liitle girl to dress up and love on and can't wait for our special mother-daughter times as she grows up.

Today was the last day of my mom's two week Christmas visit. I sure loved having her here and loved watching her enjoy her grandchildren. I wanted to make sure to get an updated picture of her with the twins since the last one I had was when they were only a couple weeks old!

Today was our nephew, Luke's, 1st birthday. We went over to Joy's house for the birthday celebration. He had a jungle themed party and adorable cake with jungle animals all over it. I can't believe it was already a year ago that this little miracle entered the world. Happy 1st Birthday, Luke!
